Our canon 8300 developed a banding problem over the holidays. We replaced the right print head twice to no avail (per canon support). Canon said it needed a service call for $1400. We decided to buy a new Canon 8400 instead, and took the inks out of the 8300 and put them in the 8400.
Maybe someone has a use for it?
If we had time/space I would have tinkered with it more, but we needed to get back up and running.
