Belfast from the Sea
« on: January 09, 2014, 07:19:00 am »

Took this photo as we left Belfast on the ferry.

The light breaking thru the clouds is what attracted me to capturing it..

Is there a method in PS to make the sun beam more pronounced?

Assuming it began as a raw file, I'd apply Clarity to that area as a local adjustment. Also in that local adjustment you might increase highlights, drop shadows.

In PS CC you can also apply this to a smart object.

Good image, wonderful light.

Another option, maybe, and if in LR, apply a GND filter in the sky, and increase clarity, contrast, and saturation a bit.

Thanks guys

It was a RAW file captured using the Fuji X-E1, I'll try a re-edit..
