A Tribute to Poe
« on: January 06, 2014, 07:48:12 pm »

Deep into the darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing
 Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before;
 But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
 And the only word there spoken were the whispered words; damn, I said, it’s cold.

All it needs is the raven on the light pole, saying "Man! It's cold out here!"

There was a seagull earlier but was gone when I finally got up the walkway. that would have made the whole poem work.  ;D

I'm in NW Florida, right on the coast (close enough to here to toss a rock to: 30° 14.535', -85° 40.063') and I have nine inch icicles hanging off all my dripping faucets. Last night we had temps in the low 20s with a 15 knot wind. Wind chill factor brought us into the teens. They are predicting and even colder night tonight, but less wind...I don't like cold..wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Can't say I blame you!! We have a place in West Palm and I expect to spend some time there in late Feb/Early March

No, surprisingly, I found that "Shade" worked the best followed by some serious lowering in the vibrancy department. There is quite a bit of small increment layering adjustments going back and forth between desaturation of the cyans and working with the vibrancy control. I did use the color lookup and used Fall Colors reduced and masked.
