Nikon EXPEED 3 Image Processing Engine vs EXPEED 4

Does anyone out there care to comment or educate or speculate on these processor  differences. D3300 just out with Ex4 and not that long ago D7100 but with Ex3. Trying to get a handle on what meanings to assign to these differences.

Double frame rate on 1080p clips and slightly better hi-ISO performance to begin with.
It's going to be the key player for higher fps count on high resolution sensors.
