Seascapes from SW Portugal
« on: January 02, 2014, 05:48:04 am »

Well, we had severe storms during Christmas this year, but things cleared up a bit on the 26. So I went out to the Brejo Largo beach to shoot in one of my favourite locations. Winds were strong, and showers abundant, but it was a good session. My children went along (after a few days of cabin fever...), and while I was shooting they were reading:)

I shot these with the XE1 and 14mm lens; this lens is reason enough to get a Fuji X camera, I think. Last one was shot with the Voigtlander 75 f1.8 VM lens, very nice too.

Happy 2014.

They are some storm clouds :-)

I got the Fuji X-E1 last year too but only recently got the 14mm lens, I must say I do enjoy just carrying a wee bag as opposed toa rucksack with all the DSLR gear.

Rich colours, all nice. I like the range of light and the composition in #3.

I like the first very much.

Especialy because at first sight, it's difficult to give a precise size of the foreground.

Well done.

Nice set.  Like the colors and light on all of them.  I think my favorite is #2 because of the strength of the line of foam.  The foreground water doesn't quite work for me at least at this scale.
