Image artifacts with HDR Expose 3
« on: December 29, 2013, 03:44:40 pm »

I like this program and think it does a good job of HDR, but I am getting some annoying artifacts that I cannot figure out. Please look at this crop from an HDR image and note the dark streak and dark spots in the sky (the latter may not be easily visible) that the arrows point to. None of these are present in any of the 3 source images. I am using the default settings, is there something else I should be doing? Thanks for any advice.

The two round circulars looks like debris I sometime see on my sensor, usually the water-based type of sensor cleaner leaves those behind.  I have better luck with Elsipse over two others I had that spotted and streaked.  The Eclipse seems to dry quicker and not so much water to evaporate.

Don't know what the streak would be?  Long piece of lint maybe?  I know if one of my HDR shots has any debris it seems to be the prominent thing at the end of the HDR combine.

Take a closer look at your three images.
