When I go into the Print dialogue in the Colormunki software and select my Epson SP7600, then select the Color Matching menu, the Colorsync and Epson Color Controls radio buttons are not greyed out and I can select either one. If I select Colorsync, a profile menu pops up below, so I assume I should select Epson Color Controls. Then select "Off (No Color Adjustment)" in the Color Settings menu of the Print Settings dialogue.

Yes correct (OFF) and that's odd this software doesn't follow the other X-rite product behavior like i1Profiler. Like Photoshop and Lightroom, they using a private API to set this for you. But if you can set it yourself, it *should* work. But what I'd do is export out the targets as TIFFs if possible, open them in the Adobe Color Print Utility or an old copy of Photoshop CS4 or earlier to print them. I don't trust X-rite's handing of this based on what you report.

Yes, I've just checked my ColorMunki and it does the same.  The buttons are not greyed out.  The X–Rite suggested workaround is to use the Eric Chan ‘null transform’ method but I found it did not give satisfactory results.  I now use the Adobe Color Printer Utility, even though it's a bit convoluted to generate the charts.

No longer possible in modern versions of Photoshop. X-rite needs to update that advise and fix ColorMunki from what you're reporting.

Adobe Color Print Utility works albeit a tad strangely in terms of scaling and centering the print. Neither should be a problem scanning with the Munki.

The Null Transform trick only worked in PS CS5 and hasn't worked in newer versions, FYI.

Works well 90+% of the time but sometimes scales targets and doesn't support CMYK postscript printers or Grayscale processes.
