COPENHAGEN and NEW YORK, December 12, 2013 -- Phase One and Digital Transitions (DT) today announced that they have signed a global distribution agreement to deliver advanced digitization solutions for cultural heritage preservation imaging projects worldwide. Not that I'd go except to pull a Banksy but where is the "London" office?

Doug,

Just a suggestion to DT, (Phase will never get it).

Next time you produce a press release hire a human to write it and not pull out an old Exon-Mobile release and replace the names.

In this case the primary press release target audience is librarians, conservationists, and heads of archives. They tend to be a bunch who don't mind dense and unemotional writing. The target audience is also heavily international and bland often translates more easily into other languages than nuance. In other words - you're not the target audience; my guess is you'd also find the articles in the Encyclopedia Britannica a bit dry and Teen Cosmo a bit airy for the same reason.

When I'm writing at-length for the commercial photography market I put (I hope at least) some more character/humanity into the style; see for instance my article on the Phase One IQ260 Sensor.
