Where did you read that they offer a diskless version? I don't see it on the Promise site.
Thanks, Bernard.I can buy a Seagate 3TB 7200rpm HDD for $117. $117 x 4 + $699 = $1167 for a total of 4x3TB = 12TB raw capacity. The 4x2TB unit is being priced by Promise at $1499. What am I missing?
My Promise Pegasus2 R4 arrives next week but the Mac Pro won't be delivered until January 7th.
Hello, I have a question: Will the thunderbolt 2 interface make any difference with just 4 drives? If not : Are you planing on replacing them with SSDs or was there other reason ? Thanks, J. Duncan

Hi which Pegasus2 is this one? The read speed are way down.Maybe you will want to rerun the tests? Your Pegasus2 could have an issue. Better to discover it now than when is full of data. Best regards, J. Duncan
