ipf6400 trying to print 24"x6" on roll.
« on: November 29, 2013, 11:52:34 am »

I'm using 24" roll. I can not get this to print the size I want using the 6400 driver in PS. No problem using the plugin but I want more control using the print driver in PS. I have tried everything I can think of and all I get is a portion of the picture printed on a big piece of wasted paper. It's forcing the paper size to 8.5x11 and printing a little strip in portrait orientation. I've selected custom size, other, Print size is set to custom. I'm sure I'm missing a simple switch someplace but after wasting about 10ft of paper I'm at my wits end..

My ipf8300 has a min. of 8" length.  Maybe the same for the 24" version.

Found it. That's what it was. I was trying to make a custom size 24 wide x 6 high but the driver assumes portrait so MY 6" high was the print drivers width. Changed to 6" wide by 24 high and then rotate 90deg and it worked. Little things like that are just killing me.. (-:}
