Long exposures near my home
« on: November 19, 2013, 04:25:12 am »

Hi, recently I have been working on a personal project near my home, in Carcavelos, about 20 km to the west of Lisbon. Carcavelos is a nice beach, that now is much more quiet than during the summer. I have here posted before images of the beach and the pier that is located at its entrance. I try to produce images that people do not normally associate with this beach, conveying impressions that are unexpected. For that, I have been using long exposures, some up to 6 minutes. This recent series was shot last weekend, close to sunset.

Kind regards

The long exposures really bring out some interesting colours.

1 and 4 for me, well done. Must be satisfying!

Looking good!  I am partial to #1 with the ghost people.

Each of these images is great in its own way, but #1 looks outstanding to me.
And the ghosts have an important part in that.

I'm not keen on ghosts. I do like the almost abstract nature of #3, though.
