I don't hink in terms of "Is it artistic" when I work on an image.
In the image above there were several elements that interested me,
e.g. its a pretty empty space. Storm is coming. People have left except those two remaining.
There is a rhythm of vertical structures. The light has a specific quality.
I tried to capture an impression of that little plaza before the incoming thunderstorm.
In the same moment its a sort of composition study.
The image was not meant to be spectacular, its just a situation that interested me.
Basically I am exploring a sort of style or way with the images I posted today which is not what I usually try.
Last week hung up 5 large prints in my office, each 24" wide with landscape images I really liked and which also have received good critiques here. A friend of mine thanked me a couple of times when I showed him the prints.
But this is something completely different.
There is a situation or short story and atmosphere, or a compositional or color related question - and I am working on that.
I am not going for the strong effect here.
I myself do not know yet where this might lead to - or not ...
Edit: On a second thought - maybe I should have posted them in the "Without predjudice" thread - but I'll leave it for now as it is.
