I've just been looking at this Kost video because I wanted to see if the Visualize Spots feature in Lightroom was also in Adobe Camera RAW...

http://tv.adobe.com/watch/creative-cloud-for-photographers/adobe-photoshop-cc-favorite-features-for-photographers/?go=16825

It appears that it is.

In addition, another feature is the Automatic Perspective Correction feature in the Lens panel of ACR.

I am running Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Camera RAW 8.2

Help/Updates in CS6 tells me that I am fully up to date.

So, are these features exclusive to Photoshop CC?

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes, those functionalities (amongst others) will not be enabled for CS6.

Of course other Rawconverters (RawTherapee / Capture One Pro) can deal with dust in a more fool-proof and fundamental fashion, with a separately shot LLC image that was tweaked to address dust shadows.

Cheers,
Bart

Bart,

Given that Sync spot removal in LR is still crap, I may upgrade to Photoshop CC (for the excellent Visualize Spots feature, which is in LR) and go back to ACR fulltime.

LR is seriously overrated, in my view.

Thanks.
