LuLa Front Page Photo Nov 9 2013
« on: November 09, 2013, 05:05:52 pm »

Whether or not the photo on the home page is the result of a camera's last gasp, it is a beautiful image nonetheless.

Actually, I find it disgusting. All I see is the result of a 'flu epidemic. Or of a new-age, tree-huggers' orgy.

Perhaps just the day the teddy bears had their picnic?

One of the few 'Michael' images I don't like at all.

Rob, Rob, Rob,....

What is wrong with you? This image has received more positive commentary than any in recent months, and yet you have to rain on the parade.

Do you like being odd man out? Do you enjoy bucking the trend? Isn't the majority always right, especially when it comes to art appreciation?

More importantly, this is an early example of cameras creating art of their own volition. The day of the creative photographer is passing. It is regrettable that this poor little device, after being one of the first of its kind to create a work of art, was unable to sustain itself and expired from the effort.

Show a little respect. The rise of the machines is upon us. Resistance is futile. They know where you live!

Get with the program man.

First, this is a beautiful image. The fact it was partially due to a camera error is funny and I wanted to start a guess thread : "What camera Michael used for this shoot ??"

I just hope it is not an IQ180 or something like that !

But I am a founder member of the programme writers’ association: I warned of the inexorable march of the machine way back! At least a day or so ago.

It was an inexpensive point-and-shoot, enough said.

Looks more like a painting than a photo - and it is rather pretty at that.

Perhaps one could simulate the effect by heavy low-pass filtering of an image in post.

A painting where a fan brush was used not to soften the track marks made another brush, but rather as an end in itself. Never pretty.
