Season of Grey
« on: November 09, 2013, 09:08:51 am »

The light is getting very scarce and the nature is stripped of colours almost completely...

Nice use of selective focus and contrasting the colors with the b/w branches. It would have been nice if there had been more definition to the orange leaf, but then you don't have complete control over that.

We still have leaves on the trees here, just about. Nice image this, I'm trying this genre at the moment and you're right about the grey.

The up and coming snow will bounce the available light though :)

Whats really strong about this image is, that one of the colored spots - the bird - is watching the second colored spot - the orange/brown rest of an apple a berry or whatever - probably something edible.
You can easily read it as one color recognizing the other within a grey/subdued world.
This story is in parallel to the bird probably looking for food.
Well seen !

Lift the area around the eye so we can see it.

Well captured!  The two play off well against each other!
