It looks overprocessed, but in a good way. I like it.

Slobodan, thanks so much. Whenever I get a reply from you, I brace myself for the worst :) but I really like getting your C&C. By any chance, have you seen the monochrome version shot from a different angle I posted a few days ago? How would you compare this one to that one compositionally and editing wise?

Thanks again, sir.

Yes, Slobodan can be picky, but he's usually right.
I agree: nice shot and appropriately processed, IMHO.

Agree, for this shot it somehow works.  This from someone who usually totally hates overprocessing.

The image has no longer a natural look, due to the processing of the water and sky.
This opens two directions for further playing with it:
You could try to process the sky and water in a more natural way - but I am not sure if thats possible,
since you have already smoothened the water very much with a long exposure obviously.
Or - you might do even more processing and do something which intentionally looks artificial and processed.
Both could be interesting.
In any case - its a lovely shot, but I believe it needs something more to really work..

There are some strong elements in the image, but compositionally it does not work for me. The centred horizon line. and the tip of the rock just almost touching it, looks unbalanced. Plus, there is some barrel distortion in the horizon line, which in this kind of shots is very obvious.

I would like to see a vertical framing, I think it would be more dynamic as well.

A little strong for my taste.

What are those arcs coming up on either side?

that's the critical problem with this image compositionally
