A little Fall Color
« on: November 05, 2013, 12:12:46 pm »

Here are a few shots from last weekend. The first two are from the top of Mt. Scott in Oklahoma's Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge. Fall color is just beginning there but the light was nice. This area is one of my favorites. It's not real well known but it's where the southwest really begins. Traditionally the land of the Apache, Kiowa and Comanche (Geronimo is buried nearby and Quanah Parker's family is still in the area). It's the beginning of the Southwest.

The last shot is a from a wooded area near  my house in Oklahoma City. Enjoy! Comments gratefully received.

I like the middle one, but not because of the colour: I think it would be intriguing in b&w.

The last one and the second one are my favorite. I'd like to see a bit more sky on the first photo. It looks like you squeezed the sky in it. I quite like the path in the last photo and the golden/yellow leaves on the ground are helping to imagine the season.

Good images all. Trees in the landscape are one of my favourite subjects.
