just bought an R3000 :)

Hi All,

just bought an Epson r3000 gets delivered next wednesday.
we already have a 9900 and a 7900. bought the r3000 for quick a4 and a3 prints in the office. 

my question is, will I like it? will I notice the quality difference to the 9900? specifically with blacks..
will it work well in a shared office environment? should I go wireless or wired?
does it like boarder-less?
it'll probably print Canson Satin only, and probably 50-100 prints per week.

I'll still use the 9900 for anything important.

ha! yeah, if I had my way I'd probably have bought a 4900 but I just bought a 3d printer last week for a whole bunch of cash so I didn't want to push my luck!
I know it's not a work horse - and it'll be a little expensive per print, I'm sure at that volume, it won't last too long.. but that's OK, as long as it does what we need in the short term.

I'm sure you'll love the 3000.  Just for future reference, the 3880 is only $275 more than the 3000, but it comes with $500 worth more ink.  By the time the 3000 used the same amount of ink that comes loaded in the 3880 it would be the more expensive option.  Unless of course you're into refilling all those smaller carts with third party ink.

Hi Sal, yeah I saw that all right on the US sites - unfortunately for me in Ireland, the 3000 is €730 and the 3880 is €1250.. €530 more
I know, expensive right!
I know as well that the price per ml is less on the 3880, and it has a lot going for it. but I had a €1k limit, so I got the printer, a second set of inks and a bunch of paper.

I think I'll be happy with it. it just has to sit on a desk, print 10-20 prints a day and share well within the office.
