HDR with CO7--Any direct imports as with LR?
« on: October 28, 2013, 10:03:09 am »

I've been using Capture One since version 3 but have never had the occasion or inkling to try traditional HDR tonemapping/processing using third party software such as Photomatrix or Nik. I fully use and am familiar with the HDR slider in CO7 but I'm now looking to experiment with either Nik or Photomatrix HDR software.  LR has a plugin for Photomatrix to directly import raw files--does Capture One have any such feature for either of these software manufacturers? My inclination would be to either (1)  copy and add bracketed raw files to either HDR software and process in Photomatrix or Nik, or (2)  to process my bracketed raw images in CaptureOne and add the processed tiffs to either program. IS THERE A  BETTER WAY?  Thanks for any comments

As far as I know Capture One does not have any plugin support.  What I do is create a tiff output and the work the files in LR with the plugin I want.

Thanks, Paul--I was afraid of that.
