Hi Ellis,

I clicked "install" because I was excited about proper multi-monitor full screen support and then realized I'd likely run into compatibility problems. I've run all my commonly used third-part software at least once (Spyder4Pro software is fine). The only two "compatibility" issues I've had are with the Android emulator (parts of the emulated screen is upside-down -- possibly some display driver problems) and Mail.app (it's crashed on me a few times). CS6 is, surprisingly, fine.

I upgraded two point-steps (10.7 to 10.9) on a MacBook Air and three point steps (10.6 to 10.9) on a MacMini (not fully tested). Took 25 minutes on the Air and didn't time the MacMini.

I'll keep you posted if I run into any problems. I haven't tried working with any big files, but I haven't really noticed much of a performance or battery-life difference.

I am particularly interested to hear if anyone is now running Mavericks and has tested Spectraview II?

I ran Spectraview II with Mavericks to calibrate my NEC 27" this morning and it ran just fine.

I remember how Mountain Lion killed EOS Utility and the ability to shoot tethered to my 1DsIII. I'd like to hear if anyone has updated to Maverick's and how their connection is or is not working. I have a big week next week and I don't want to shoot myself in the foot.

Problem solved - there's new XRD for Maverics, and after installation everything went back to normal :)

My iSis ran fine, odd. Not sure if I want to upgrade or not.

Actually my i1Pro2 also ran fine with other applications, but didn't act as dongle - so i1Profiler was running in demo mode only.

The only problem I've found so far is with Safari - gestures on my Magic Mouse aren't working

1st problem after installing Mavericks.

I opened my Lightroom 5 catalog and every thing looked fine, I then closed Lr5.2 and got this double message as it tried to back up (see attached).
Tried to reopen the Catalog and got the dreaded Corrupt message. Tried to repair the catalog  but that was a no go as well. Now trying a  second rebuild.

I am not sure if this is a Lightroom 5 or a Lightroom 5 in Mavericks problem.

Now trying third rebuild.

Re: Any OS X Mavericks issues crop up yet? Yes, Epson Scan is DOA
« Reply #12 on: October 24, 2013, 01:08:16 am »

Epson Scan (V600 Photo) is DOA with Mavericks. It has worked perfectly with both Lion and Mtn Lion. I am concluding  Epson  skipped the Developers' Conference last summer and Mavericks  is  a huge surprise based on my phone calls to Epson this AM.

Update As of 11.20.13 :  Epson has  a new two part Epson Scan Utility compatible with OS 10.9 available for download.

Now sorted - I had to go into the Magic Mouse preferences & switch gestures on. Simple, but annoying 'cos nothing suggested this wouldn't be on by default

My Intuos 5 Touch works just fine on a cable, but wireless connection doesn't work (it states that No Tablets Were Found).

The latest version 1.1.16 of SpectraView II must be used on Mavericks. Earlier versions will crash due to a conflict with some of the color sensor libraries and some of the architecture changes in OS 10.9. Support for the Datacolor Sypder devices is disabled in SpectraView II 1.1.16 only on Mavericks, and this will be re-enabled in an upcoming update to address this issue.

My Lightroom in Mavericks issue seems to have been a case of user error.

I see the Epson site says Mavericks compatible scanner software will be coming soon.  It's the only thing I've found so far that doesn't work compared to ML.
