More Autumn Mornings
« on: October 21, 2013, 08:03:25 pm »

Here are a few more from one morning earlier this month. Particularly with the second two photographs, nothing can replace "being in the right place at the right time"– in this case, about one hour after sunrise along the shore of lake on the Canadian Shield. Of course the right equipment and technique help, but to quote AA: "Sometimes I arrive just when God's ready to have somone click the shutter."

"being in the right place at the right time"

Purely by chance? :-)

Those who travel with me on photo trips often hear my battlecry, "Let's unset the sunset," just before I drive, hike, or run to higher ground, racing the shadow of last light. A photographer who deals with two or three sunsets a day has more chances to be lucky than a person who settles for just one.

All very nice, as was the last series.

I especially like #3 for the diversity of elements. If you don't like fog, you can look at the geometry of the branches, etc.
