Trunk of a tree in the local park after running through my mad post skills - going postal so to say .... :P
And: Yes, I used the clarity slider - to lower clarity ...

ADDENDUM: After some comments here I decided to workover the second image and attached it here as a third inventing the "High Art Crapdagram" genre. Seriously.

#1: What shall I say. My eye doesn't find any anchor to start with. This picture hasn't anything which draw my attention. Perhaps to busy.

#2: Very moody and interesting. But then the top of the tree in the middle is somewhat awkward and distracting in a negative way, to much dodged?

Harald

PS: Stadtpark?

Yup. Stadtpark.
Don't ask me why I posted this.
I was in a sort of silly mood trying out some postprocessing stuff with some basically boring images.
Sometimes it can work, but probably not this time.
I think I'll to an overhaul to push it further.

Good try, Christoph, but the toning doesn't help #1. #2 is a fair shot at pictorialism but the light, especially the blowout at the top, doesn't help pull it together.

... pictorialism ...

Pushing it even further - see 3rd image.

Best of the three, I think. You could perhaps crop off the blown-out bit of sky at the top, which doesn't contribute anything.
