What ever you do, DO NOT CALL ADOBE
« on: October 17, 2013, 09:12:04 am »

My god, here goes a storry ..

So, i wanted to know if i still could download Adobe PS CS6 ( as i have a licence for it, and paid it, i should be able according to their sale to have it).
So, i went in search for it, didn't find it i thought lets call adobe.

I called a first number, ( only one i had) apparently i was at sales,
The man there, verry comprehensible language actually my own language, but he couldn't awnser he gave me the support number..

I called the support number,
W8ed for AAGES, then got hold of i think a man in India, or Taiwan, speaking half english, UNBELIEVABLE couldn't understand a word.
Had to ask EVERYTHING in Radio Alphabet,  he gave me awnsers that had NOTHING to do with what i've asked,
( keep in mind my question was: where can i download Adobe Photoshop CS6 again ? .. Expecting an easy awnser)

Apparently they're hotter on selling their crap than supporting it!

I would advise Adobe's online forums.

Now if you could explain in cogent terms why you expect after sales service from a software company, and how the provision of such could be justified to shareholders  ... Can you imagine the number of cretins (aka customers) who ring up?

The company's only obligations to you are as stated in the license agreement which you read and accepted, right?

I thought Adobe's products were subscription-based these days? That's a brilliant idea... for shareholders :)

So, i wanted to know if i still could download Adobe PS CS6 ...

Follow this how-to from JohnBeardy
http://lightroomsolutions.com/where-to-download-cs6/

NB!
Even though CS6 serial numbers are cross-platform, Adobe only offers you a download of the version you originally ordered - If you purchased a Mac version, the windows download is not available ... and vice versa.

I am not sure this is the right place to post such complaints. You should call Adobe to try to resolve it directly.  ;)

Cheers,
Bernard

Back in the days I had trouble with I think CS4. every couple of weeks it would tell me that my registration documents couldn't be found and I had to reinstall everything. Nice if you are in a shooting with 10 people waiting for you to confirm the layout.

I called Adobe half a dozen times, it took me ages to get through,I literally spent hours in waiting lines, never got any help that solved my problems. What did I do?
I ended up cracking my legally bought software and ever since it worked flawlessly.

I totally believe in buying licences for software, as it is a means of getting my work done like a camera or a lens, which I don't steal either, but what some companies offer as support is a bad joke.

I like Adobe software, I spent a lot of money on them and will keep on doing it, but I realised once you bought it, go somewhere else for help.

Don't get me started on the whole subscription thing....

I had a totally different experience with Adobe support.

I bought the German version of CS6 as a download from Amazon.
Then I realized I had no possibility to use English as the language of the software.
In an online chat through the website the switch to the English version and according serial number was totally uncomplicated, friendly and straightforward and within some days I got a DVD from them with the correct new (now English) version.

English not perfect , has to do with dislectia and having to know 4 languages at school before even getting to uni and 6 on a day to day basis, not perfect on 4 of those but enough to be enderstood correctly and way better than the Helpdesk at Adobe...  So Mmba before getting in argument on languages try talking/writing 6 of them on a day to day basis in a mix, some times multiple onces in 1 conversation ..
