MacBook Pro--can it be fully calibrated with eye1 as the Eizo can?  Anyone know the answer?  Maybe a dumb question but I was told a while back that it could not be fully calibrated yet I see so many photographers using it as their primary computer for imaging and printing. My MBP is about 2 years old, if that helps.  Appreciate your answer.

Doesn't work very well with the Spyder 4 on a brand new MBP 15" non retina. Moment the angle of the screen changes (tilt) it's all off.

Macbook Pro panels used to be 6 bit giving you only approx..  256,000 colors. Then the millions from dithering.  And apple  do not tell you anything.   You must have min 8 bit panel to get millions of colors....

What it is today I do not know......

I heard that 13 inch screen is 6 bit still.   ...

Please let me know about 2013 retina screens.....?????

I love my rMBP13 - well linearized IPS, natively close to D65, with polarizer that reduces black silvering. qualitywise it's light years away from crappy TN displays in former MBPs.
