Solution to restore deleted images from Mac digital camera

I need solution to restore accidentally deleted images from digital camera storage device. I accidentally deleted old images from digital camera while accessing on Mac computer. Is there any recommendation to restore lost images?

If the device appears as a drive, then take a look at Photorec (free, open source).  It's available for Mac, Windows and Linux.
