The first is a cracker, Scott, although there's perhaps just a bit too much featureless sky above the clouds.

Nice set, with wonderful light. I think my favourite is #2, it conveys a great sense of isolation.

Love the light but I'm split between #1 and #2. Both are wonderful but they convey a different feeling. The first image is peaceful, calm and relaxing. The second is less static with those moving clouds. The man-made elements give me a sense of loneliness.

The third photo is less pleasant although the sky adds a lot of drama. Personally, I find that the left side of the photo is a bit busy…

I wish you had gotten closer to the man made parts. I find them interesting, I agree the second one feels lonely, but I still want to be closer. Beautiful light though.

Like Francois, I find the first two quite stunning.

Thanks folks! Good points.

Jeremy: I am uncertain about the cropping and composition. Wish I had gotten the camera higher.

Paolo: thanks. This was the choice of my better half. Good call, as usual.

Francois: yep, too busy. At least I cropped out the silver Subaru.  :)

Hunter: I shot these far and near and settled on the middle. I attach a closer one.

Eric: thanks!

Thanks, Chuck. I am constantly amazed at how fast the light changes, and how short the time is for composing and capturing.

FourDoors is also very pleasant and shares the sense of loneliness with the second image.

FWIW, I like it a lot!
