Canon 30D flashing rear screen

Hi, has anyone experienced this problem? I suspect there might be water that got in somewhere during the last and hopefully not fatal wave that went over it while on the tripod. Everything works fine except the screen that flashes and then eventually the camera freezes. Thoughts?
