Epson R3000: paper bent by feeding wheels? How to solve?
« on: September 14, 2013, 03:10:30 am »

Hi folks,

my Epson R3000 hardly had any issue, but today I realized that the two last A4 photos I printed had almost the same defect in the very same position.
Paper is Ilford GFS.
It's kind of a double bent, more or less 1/4" apart, 1.5" long, running parallel. One bends upwards, the other downwards.
To me they've been caused by the feeding mechanism.
I quickly check another print I made yesterday, before these two, and it doesn't show any issue. I guess I would have noticed that before.

I also attached my driver settings, if needed. My 2yrs warranty ended 10 days ago. Planned obsolescence maybe?  :-\

Thank you in advance.

I just printed another A4 and it came out perfectly, not an issue. Go figure.
BTW, I attached a view of the paper feed from above.
The circle is quite exactly where the bents are on the paper, and the size almost matches too.
