Is there a way to stretch images in Lightroom?
« on: August 30, 2013, 05:36:57 pm »

Over the last few months I've started to stretch my images prior to printing so that all of my prints come out with uniform image areas, no matter how I cropped them.  This makes it really easy to re-use mats, everything gets printed to one of 3 ratios. However, I'd prefer to be able to do this on the fly when printing my master file from Lightroom, rather then storing extra files for printing from PS.  The problem is I can't find any way to do this in Lightroom, it appears to be crop only.  Am I missing something?

Could you use the aspect slider under lens corrections?

In Print, set the cell size in Layout so it matches your mat. Then in Image Settings, tick Zoom to Fill. You can then drag the image around the frame.

I don't see one in LR4.  However, I need to be able to enter in the exact ratio.

Unfortunately that just effectively crops the image, it doesn't stretch it.

OK, I misunderstood. If you really want to stretch the image, there's no way in LR.

Ah, it is in LR5 and you cannot enter a ratio.
