I agree.

I was setup there for about 2 1/2 hours and the transition of the city through the end of the day and into the evening was nice to observe (there are also deer right there, so I had some other subjects to photograph with another camera while waiting for the sun to set).

Might have been a different dynamic on a weekday, since the central train station is just left of camera and the area is normally buzzing with people going home.

Very fine and technically perfect record shots. Yes, the night shot is the better of the two.

Thanks and yes, definitely record shots, unlike this one from Rotterdam which appeals to me more, though it's been processed much more heavily:
