why can't the Mac color sync utility fix broken epson icc profiles for 3880 - they all seem to be damaged. Will this affect my print quality? If so, what is the solution that a newbie like me can apply?

What makes you think they're damaged?

The utility is very, very picky and often reports "issues" with profiles that have zero affect on their usage.

Thanks for your thoughts on this - the utility reported most of them were damaged. Good to hear that it might not affect printer operation.

If you can convert to the output space with the profile, they are fine. They may not be within some spec the utility feels it should but should work.
