« on: August 17, 2013, 07:39:34 am »

Two older colours and a recent mono mountain, able to climb and hike again after injury now...looking forwards to Autumn and winter

#1 is exceptional. The well composed fence knits the whole thing together. The dynamic range is just right. The image is precise without being stark.
I found this companion shot on your site: http://shaunw.photium.com/lindesfarne-dawn#photo , also excellent, but a little busy and with aesthetically arbitrary borders to left and right. Maybe gravity biases landscape photography to landscape format.

You certainly have a feel for northern England, some of the most haunting of landscapes. I'd enjoy seeing your treatment of the Howgills and the northern Pennines.
