z6100 error 81:01

hey forum...

i havent had that problem first.. but now i get with very smooth papers, like hp prem satin.. and especially acrylic film.. that error every!! time i try to load it.. it feels like the wheels slip or something so it thinks there is a jam.. there def isnt..

any idea on what to do? i have to restart 10 times till i finally get a roll in! :-(

If it has the same small Z3100 flip flop switch in the media insert slot then check whether that is not stuck in one position.

the z6 has a vacuum system and is different from the 3...

its only with certain "slippery" papers, that it doesnt load them.. the wheels slip.. not sure why..

I know it is a different machine and not only on the vacuum system. But it has to have a sensor that sees a paper edge inserted at loading time.
Now that you mention slippery behaviour of the transport axle/pinch wheels we can eliminate the paper insert sensor from the causes. Either pressure of the pinch wheels is reduced in time, transport axle surface became too slippery or there is too much friction on the paper spindle support points. Or all together.
