mobile printers
« on: August 12, 2013, 11:23:42 am »

Does anyone have suggestions for a mobile printer, for photo printing, battery operated if possible, to do up to 8x 10 prints
for under $600??
Thanks,

I have been taking photos and printing them on proms, dancing events and stuff before.

I used two Epson Stylus Photo P50 (also known as Artisan 50) equiped with refillable cartriges and filled with pigmented inks from the manufacture OCP (K3 R2400 inkset).

With custom profiles these both printers did a lot of crazy working behind... I regually maintained both printers: cleaned them inside out, since these both aren't really pigmented based printers they could clogg pretty bad!

the outcome: perfect photographs on relatively cheap Polyethylene backcovered photo papers with awesome archivability.
I sold 8x10 photo for less then 3€ each and 4x6 photo for 1€ each.

500€ on one event was my minimum wage

Thanks,
I am looking for a battery operated printer, I am not sure if the Epson Stylus Photo P50 comes with that option. I
am working out in the field.  Currently looking at the Canon Pixma iP100, I will add the Epson to the list.
Thanks,

Consider running the printer from an inverter.

+1 or a UPS running off the inverter.
