Amazing picture - the separation between the ice berg and the land is superb.

If only there was someone in a bright orange jump suit standing on top.

Maybe there is but they are just too small to see.

Much better would be a whale jumping right out of the water in front of the iceberg.  ;D

Actually, this iceberg being a tabular iceberg was pretty big (as I recall cause I was there), but it wasn't the largest tabular iceberg I saw in Antarctica...the largest I saw took about 1.5 hours to pass by boat...we saw it way off in the distance and kept seeing it forever...when we were aside the main berg it was smaller but that was because it was seen edgewise...then it continued to be visible for a real long time...

See the attached 5 shot pano with a Canon EOS 1Ds MII pano...

That is  a really, really big tabular iceberg!

In case you are interested in scale, see this 100% crop of the far left area...see the bird?

Nice image Jeff.  There we're so many good berg images from that trip.  On a typical trip you could see and shoot dozens of these beautiful objects.  Some will be absolutely huge and others the size of a car.  All amazing in there own right.  All of them are now gone.  You can't shoot any if you don't go there though.  More of my Antarctica images can be seen at. http://kevinraber.com/gallery/antarctica/
