Exporting Catalogue with Folders intact?
« on: July 31, 2013, 10:50:44 am »

I am on the road and have a catalogue on my laptop with about ten subfolders.  How can I transfer to my desktop, using the "export as catalogue "command with just one maneuver, keeping the folder structure intact and them importing on the desktop, maintaining the folder structure?

I have been doing this one folder at a time but want to be more efficient.

Select all the photos you want to export and then do file > export as catalog. That easy.

Or select ctrl/cmd click to select more than one folder, then do file > export as catalog. Untick Export Selected Photos Only.

Selecting multiple subfolders resulted in only one subfolder being exported.

However selecting the top folder resulted in all sub folders being exported with the structure intact, and the the import worked the same way.

Problem solved!!
