Edit in PSCS6 - Link Vanished!

I was working in LR5 this morning, and had successfully sent one pic to PS using Photo> Edit In > PSCS6 in the normal way. Tried to send another, and nothing happened. Tried a few times with different files, to no avail.

Closed down all apps, restarted the Mac Pro (running 10.7.5), ran Disk Utility to repair permissions, then re-opened LR5 and PSCS6. Tried again, to no avail. Still nothing happens when I try to send to PS. Tried "Open as Smart Object", still nothing. No progress bar, nothing...

I can get files to PS by dragging to the dock icon, or using John Beardy's "Open in" plugin, but in both cases the files open first in ACR, so not ideal.


Can anyone suggest what may have caused this sudden affliction???

Or suggest a way to mend the link?

P.S. I just checked and it's not just the PS link that's broken: other apps listed in my "Edit In" dialogue are also failing to open.  So it looks like my LR5 Photo> Edit In is broken entirely

Sounds odd. As you're on Mac, have you tried resetting your preference file?

Thanks John! That seems to have solved it

And many thanks for the link. I've not had to do that for a few years now, and I wasn't sure whether OS X Lion would let me access the .plist files, so it was good to have the guidance on locating it

Hopefully this will be the end of it!
