Someone mentioned using Golden Varnish on their canvas. How popular is it for inkjet canvas coatings?

Well, I mentioned it. And since I already posted info on the other thread - to avoid repeating I would say summarily: probably not that popoular since its not designed for high yield businesses.  Its a product artists use for sealing acrylic and other mediums,  and its origin is in that genre.

My goal as a photographer is to (I hope) provide a more unique and quality product in low volume.  I don't want to print other people's work and I certainly don't want to varnish them.

It's not water based, so you have mineral spirits to contend with.

Its a different animal altogether.  Golden also sells heavier acrylic glazes - I've experimented and not yet come up with anything I'm happy with - but the theory (unproven) is that you could paint texture into your giclee using their other varnishes on top of the glaze coat.  Something I'm still struggling with.
