Virtuous simplicity and compelling drama.  I even like the crunchy sky.

That's the great thing about skies. No matter how frequently a particular scene has been shot, it's possible to get a different, and perhaps more interesting picture shooting from the exact, same spot, if the sky is different, and it often is.
