High Mountain Panoramic
« on: July 04, 2013, 06:45:17 am »

Recent two week mountaineering trip ended at a crevasse after just 45mins...absolutely gutted, two weeks on crutches and nil physical activities for next month....but managed to grab a few shots. Iam not sure is pano's are even done just small, check out the image on Flickr to get some idea of what the print is like....thanks Shaun

I'm sorry to hear about your mountaineering experience. Get well soon!

I like your panorama a lot. Weather was just right for all those aiguilles. I can feel the cold air.

Nice shot. Sorry about your accident. My brother did the same thing but they were able to fish him out without damage and continued the climb.

Cheers all and thanks for the get well soon,s Sadly all I did was tear the calf muscle but it was enough to end the trip and put me on crutches, nothing as exciting as falling in the crevasse, just jumped it and calf exploded on the other side. We were roped up for glacier travel so would have been no bother if had of gone in really, tricky bit came trying to climb off the glacier an hour later on one leg...300ft climb out, too risky game over called the Heli.

Nice pano. Glad you are recovering well. About 2 years ago my son strained/injured his calf muscle as well, and he had to use crutches for 1 month. So I can sympathise:)

It is a cracker of an image.
It also demonstrates, I think, an interesting phenomenon where the colour temperature of sunlight increases with altitude.
