The building materials and structural design were just made for photography — especially in blazing sunlight.

Beautiful buildings and the inclusion of that hill on the top left of the frame is interesting for the context. The hard light doesn't bother me, it gives an idea of the harshness of the climate in those regions.

The hard light doesn't bother me, it gives an idea of the harshness of the climate in those regions.

I agree: I think it's the harshness of the light which makes it interesting. A shot taken at dawn or dusk would be softer and convey a completely different feel, I suspect.

It must be nice to have somewhere to photograph that doesn't require getting up before dawn.

Thats the way the ZONE system works ..and remember this is film.  Expose for the lows and develop for the highs //Probably a Minus 2.
