ACR sharpening/noise question for Jeff
«

Is there any significant difference between the sharpening/noise reduction in ACR between CS5 and CS6? (2010 v 2012 process) I know theres big differences in many of the other tools but wondered if the detail pallet tools had changed in the way they work.
Many thanks.

Nope...but the IQ you can get from PV 2012 is, in my opinion, superior...but the Detail panel is, essentially the same.

Of course, if you subscribe to the Guy Gowan school of thought, you would be doing your sharpening in CS5/6 rather than in ACR..................
