Crop Reset

Hello, when using the level feature in Lightroom 5, the cropping I have done often resets. Why is this?

Not often; always.
It's a feature, not a bug. Upright works on the whole image, all the available data, so it cancels any crop. Form the habit of doing Upright first, crop second.
