Sunrise Summer Solstice, Tunnel View
« on: June 26, 2013, 11:09:00 pm »

Sunrise - Summer Solstice, Tunnel View Compared to Clear Day Shot the day before.
Had to wake up at 03:30, drive 2 hours from Merced with my two young nephews (who were champs) to take the sunrise photo.
Hopefully somewhat unique photo of a well photographed location.

Hi,
I like them very much although at that with sun rise there is on the left side of the sky a border line between two area of luminosity which could be much more softly with clone stamp at 25-35% opacity,in my opinion of course.Thanks.

I also like image #1, wonderful stuff. The vertical luminosity break mentioned by OnlyNorth might look very unnatural, in fact, it is quite common in alpine regions. I can observe this phenomenon on every sunny day! One might be tempted to tone down this shift…

The vertical line break is there in the camera shots.  I'm not inclined to remove it since it is one of the things that makes it different from a standard shot of this place.

Actually, I didn't suggest that you remove it as it's a natural and common phenomenon…
