Scott,

Reminds me of Iceland!

I also thought that they were taken in Iceland…

I love the second one, the light is fantastic and the rain adds something special.

Hi,
For me the second is perfect(East).I congratulate You for it.The first I should move the sun up to imagine a kind of values' scale then I should alter  entire image with white  to show the real values-sun,Celtic cross and the other two crosses.Thanks.

I like both. For me #1 works very well as a documentary type shot. But #2 has all the mystique and mood.

Glad you liked them. Thanks for the suggestions and encouragement.

Yeah, the prairies and Iceland share a similar treelessness. This much green is unusual here but it was a snowy spring followed by lots of rain.

That wraps it up for prairie photos for a while. I'm sitting in Stockholm on my way to Lofoten and environs. Where's the big smiley symbol?

#1 will rank in my top ten for a while, I suspect.

Cool, Chris: thanks. I like the straight-forward approach on #1 even though it borders on "snapshot". #2 feels less authentic.
