Curious absence of talk about the new Ricoh GR. Anyone have experience with it yet? (And Coolpix A, I suppose)

Probably because Pentax/Ricooh is an afterthought to most.  The Pentax that gets the most attention around here is the 3+ year old 645D.

What Pentax needs to do is to revive those opulent calendars of years ago, with photographers like Sam Haskins and Hans Feurer. Too late for Sam, but Feurer's still around and healthy!

Visibiliity at point-of-sales. However, if Internet buying is the norm, not much hope left for anyone to show what their cameras and lenses can actually do. So buyers lose as well, having not much on which to base expectations other than posts and jpegs in websites, many inevitably from people who have no idea of what's possible and what's not. Chat is free, and conviction never guaranteed anything.
