If I ever get back to Spain I won't be forgetting my DP2M. Some fine shots here, and in your other posts - restrained and elegant - so that the IQ is just the cream on the cake.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.

Ryan, I like the B and W tanker photo and in general the non-HDRed industrial shots, 0414 cloudy day, and the 0476 sunset photo. 0519 was a great sunset, but the composition is a bit static. You must live in snow country.

A few add ons for better handheld shots. I was using the dp2m almost exclusively on a tripod and i wanted more versatility handheld. I wasn't real big on buying  the sigma view finder, 150$ for a eye piece seemed a bit steep. I saw this VF-4 lcd view finder for 99$ and added the grip. It works great! I'll post some handheld shots soon, I've been able to go as low as 1/15th shutter speed and still managing sharp images which is great for me! Having the ability to steady it firmly against the face really helps.

I read the original whole thread 6 months or so ago before making the purchase, I'm not sure that I can add much more now but briefly...

I find the colours a bit wacky but the detail rendered is amazing.

It works well for stitching with a simple bracket.

It is my belief that this sensor does not like to be underexposed. Colors are much better when the exposure is as high as possible.

Juan Amores [and Palpman] [and anyone else shooting DP2M for black and white]:

I am blown away by the black-and-white images being produced with the DP2M.  As I wait for Mister UPS to deliver my latest folly (DP2M), perhaps you could tell me:

I assume that you're shooting in RAW, and converting to B/W elsewhere [surely these can't be B/W jpegs from in-camera. . .].  Could you walk through your workflow to achieve your beautiful B/W images?  How much done in Sigma PP, how much in Lightroom/Aperture, how much in Photoshop, etc.  Any quirks to your conversions?  Anything you have to emphasize?

Look at me; my first post and I'm asking magicians to give away their secrets. . . .

Thanks.
