I've seen quite a few exemplary B&W landscapes on LuLa, and have been trying to put what ideas I've been able to pick up into action. I think I initially liked the balanced, kind of classic looking composition in this scene, but something about the rippled water suggesting movement made it a keeper for me.
If I hadn't seen one of the instructional videos from MR and the PS book from JS, I probably wouldn't have gotten the exposure right in the first place, or been able to process the file to bring out the best aspects of the image. Compared to other forums I've visited, I have to say this one is the most useful for someone trying to develop as a photographer.
Thanks for the comments!
