I have a preference for the first photo. It is simpler than the second image and you managed to keep the uninteresting sky out of the frame. It might be my eyes but it looks a bit tilted.

The water line is tilted in both. It's because of the oblique angle of the camera to the shoreline. I have made an initial attempt to straighten it but that made the trees lean oddly. I will go back and see if a more complex adjustment can be made to straighten it without making everything else look strange. Thanks for looking and for your comments.
