You might want to try taming the highlights on the rocks in the foreground, which shall bring the water flow more into focus. Since you made a point it was LR 3, it might be worthwhile noting that LR 4 has a better highlight control.

I actually like the highlights in the foreground which captured my attention.  But I think the background needs to be brought out more.  It's too muddled.  Like the lower right diagonal half.  Opposite upper left doesn't do it for me.

Yup, I'm trying to use this forum on to get the best critiques, then post them to a broader audience later incorporating all the feedback.
